The Duneland Family YMCA and Chesterton-Duneland Kiwanis brought the community together for the 12th Annual Tee Off for a Great Cause Golf Outing on Monday, August 3, at Sand Creek Country Club. Through a shared commitment to serving local children and families, the two organizations enjoyed a meaningful day of fellowship and friendly competition while raising support for programs that help the Duneland community grow stronger.

Funds raised through the outing stay right here in the Duneland community, helping provide income-based assistance so children, adults and seniors can access YMCA programs and services, while also supporting Chesterton-Duneland Kiwanis initiatives for local children and families.

“For 12 years, our golf outing with the Chesterton/Duneland Kiwanis Club has demonstrated the incredible impact we can make when community partners come together,” said Duneland Family YMCA CEO Dave Kasarda. “This event is about more than a day of golf—it is about raising critical funds, strengthening relationships, and creating opportunities for children and families throughout the Duneland community.”

Congratulations to this year’s winning teams and individual contest winners. Kent Mishler, Garry Nallenweg, John Anchor and Jim Goetz earned first place in the men’s division, while Lana Conroy, Rose Vis, Tracy Cannon and Sally Clark took first place in the women’s division. Aaron Adcock, Elizabeth Adcock, Alyssa Chumley and Sam Chumley were named the first-place co-ed team. Cara Jones won the women’s longest drive contest, and Nick Cosme earned the men’s longest drive honor. The success of Tee Off for a Great Cause would not be possible without the generosity of the businesses and organizations that believe in the missions of the Duneland Family YMCA and Chesterton-Duneland Kiwanis.

A special thank you goes to this year’s premier sponsors: Cardinal Industrial Services, Wellsand Landscaping, Trout Glass & Mirror, CAPTRUST, Hecht Wealth Management, Carmeuse, Northwest Health, NIPSCO, Trinity Displays, Chesterton-Duneland Kiwanis, First Merchants and 219 Taproom.

The Duneland Family YMCA and Chesterton-Duneland Kiwanis are grateful to every golfer, sponsor and volunteer who helped make the annual Tee Off for a Great Cause a memorable day. Every registration, sponsorship and contribution makes a direct impact close to home, helping both organizations create opportunities, remove financial barriers and build a stronger Duneland community for all.
