We know learning and fun doesn’t end when the school bell rings. That’s why we offer the Out of School Learning Program, a weekly program that introduces arts, physical fitness, nutrition, science, math, character development, and more.

Led by qualified, caring staff, the Duneland Family YMCA’s licensed Out of School Learning Program is held in the safe, secure, and familiar setting of your child’s school so they can grow and expand interests beyond the classroom. Conveniently located on-site, the Y offers students a variety of fun and intentional activities each day before or after school. They’ll enjoy homework help with at least 30 minutes per day of educational enrichment (and a snack)! Outside of academics, we also align programming with the Y’s core values to encourage character development and leadership skills.

Out of School Learning offers MORE than just childcare:

  • Homework support
  • Healthy meals and snacks
  • Fun games to release energy
  • Free play to foster creativity
  • Character building mini-lessons on the Y’s core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, & Responsibility
a group of young kids are gathered on the floor sitting around a board game with their teacher

When school is out, the Y steps in! We offer Out of School Learning  programs that keep kids learning, growing, and thriving before and after the school day.
