The Duneland Family YMCA has announced a temporary main entrance adjustment in effect beginning Monday, September 22nd. This temporary main entrance modification is scheduled for the ongoing construction taking place at the Duneland YMCA Healthy Living Campus, and will continue through weeks to come.

The main entrance of the Duneland YMCA Healthy Living Campus, up until September 22nd, has been at Door 11, also known as the “Pool Entrance”. This entrance will be temporarily gated off for safety measures while construction takes place. Instead, all visitors will be asked to use the “Auditorium Entrance” that is located on Morgan Ave. beginning on September 22nd until construction is complete at Door 11.

The parking lot accessed from Porter Ave. will remain open for use, along with a parking lot on the corner of Morgan Ave and Chesterton Blvd. Additionally, street parking will be available.

“We’re excited to be making improvements to the Duneland Family YMCA Healthy Living Campus to better serve our members and community,” says Amy Curtis, YMCA Senior Director of Programs and Partnerships. “While Door 11 will be temporarily closed for sidewalk replacement, we appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to create a safer and more accessible entrance.” The Duneland Family YMCA encourages community members to remain alert while visiting the area and appreciates their patience as the campus undergoes this vital transformation.
