NFL Flag Football
Pass, run, and catch your way into NFL Flag Football – the NFL’s official youth flag football that offers boys and girls the fun and excitement of fast-paced football in a non-contact environment. Kids not only have a blast practicing and playing the game, but they learn valuable lessons in sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and commitment.
Our Youth Summer Flag Football League is open to all youth ages 5-14 years old. We will offer three different age divisions: Ages (5-7), (8-10), and (11-14).
All participants will be provided with an Official NFL Flag Football jersey (specific team TBD), flags and a mouthguard. Practices will be held at the Duneland YMCA. Practice days will be determined by coach’s availability.
It’s a great opportunity for your children to compete in a semi-competitive Flag Football league. Last year this league had 32 total teams over the three age divisions.
In our 8-10 and 11-14 age divisions, standings will be kept, and we will have a season ending tournament with awards given to the 1st and 2nd place finishers.

Our league will consist of teams from Duneland YMCA, Valparaiso, South Haven, Portage, and Duneland Boys & Girls Clubs along with the Portage YMCA
At the YMCA, all of our youth sports coaches are volunteers. If you would like to make a positive impact in a young person’s life, please consider volunteering. Contact CJ Peters at [email protected] to volunteer. Participating families will receive $10 off for volunteering their time to coach!
Team placement emails will begin going out after sign-ups end. The email will be sent to the email address on file for the participant to be registered, so please make sure it is up to date.

Biddy (Ages 5-7)

Location: Duneland YMCA and or Chesterton Middle School (Practices). Chesterton High School Practice Fields (Games)
Practice Details: Practices are once a week, and Practices will begin the week of May 20
League Wide Coaches Meeting: Monday May 13 at 6pm. The meeting will be held at the Portage Boys & Girls Club
Game Details: Games will be held on Saturdays, with teams playing a 6-week game schedule from June 1 – July 13. Game dates are June 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 July 13 (Medal Day)
Other Important Details: This league is designed as a combo league, which will have teams from the Duneland YMCA, Valparaiso, South Haven and Portage Boys & Girls Clubs, along with the Portage YMCA.
Be Part of an organization-wide flag football league that gives members the ultimate flag football league experience. Multiple Organizations will be participating, allowing your children a vast array of competition.
