Out of School Learning - Before & After School Care
We know learning and fun doesn’t end when the school bell rings. That’s why you can count on the Duneland Family YMCA to make before/after school care easy and convenient - right at your child's school!
Out of School Learning offers MORE than just supervision! Led by qualified, caring staff, the Duneland Family YMCA’s Out of School Learning program is designed to be fun, educational, and align with the school day by supporting literacy, arts, and science growth. Your child will receive help with their homework, participate in games, activities, and grow their creativity through various projects. A healthy snack will also be provided.

Our Before & After School program offers high-quality care to students of the Duneland School Corporation School District. The schools we serve are:

Our regular child care program hours are 6:00 am to the start of your child’s school day, and from school dismissal to 6 pm.
Payments will be drafted each Monday of the current week of care with our convenient electronic draft system.
We are committed to making programs and memberships accessible to everyone in our community. Our scholarship program helps individuals and families who qualify based on financial need.
To apply, complete a scholarship application and submit the required income documentation. The review process takes about 3–5 business days, and all information is kept confidential.

No, you do not have to be a YMCA member to receive out of school learning services. It is open to both members and non-members.
At this time, we do not offer a multi-sibling discount. Our program is set at a flat rate per child to ensure consistent, high-quality care and experiences for every participant.
Our trained and caring staff provide the program directly at your child’s school, so you will conveniently pick them up from their school. This helps ensure a smooth and safe transition for both you and your child.
