The Duneland Family YMCA strengthens the foundations of our community through well-being and fitness, camps, family time, swim, sports and play, and other activities for people of all ages, incomes and abilities. We’re more than just a place to work out. Rules and Regulations
Personal Property
The YMCA is not responsible for personal property. All participants are encouraged to bring a padlock and lock valuables in a locker while using the facility. All locks are to be removed daily and will be cut off if left on without a locker rental with a membership. You may rent a locker for $60 per year if you want to leave your lock on all year.
Personal Behavior
Smoking, chewing tobacco, drugs, alcoholic beverages, firearms, weapons and profanity are not permitted or tolerated ANYWHERE on the premises.
Check In
You are asked to show your membership card and scan in every time you use the facility. If your membership card is lost, please see the front desk for a replacement.
Children
Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older. This includes the use of the pool during summer. Children under 11 have access to the Fun Zone during schedule group fitness times.
Class Cancellations
All classes are subject to cancellation if registration and revenue requirements established by the YMCA are not met or there is insufficient registration.
Refund Policy
It is the policy of the YMCA not to issue a refund on memberships. If you move out of the area, a portion of your membership may be credited towards a membership at another YMCA in your community. Refunds on classes, programs and leagues will only be granted if there is a cancellation by the YMCA. NO EXCEPTIONS other than medical proof.
Neighborhood Away Program
Did you know that your membership at the Duneland YMCA is valuable at other YMCA's? The YMCA has made a cooperative effort to enhance the value of your membership by honoring your Duneland Family YMCA membership at any of the participating YMCA’s listed here. No need to worry about where you're going to work out when you go on vacation. Bring your membership care with you while you travel and stop in at any YMCA.
All hours, services and classes are independent of each YMCA. There is one stipulation, you muse use your Home YMCA one more time each month than the other YMCA's. Please call the YMCA you are planning to visit for additional restrictions.

United Way
Programs at the Duneland Family YMCA are partially funded by the United way of Porter County. These funds help support childcare, special needs childcare, and youth guidance.
